Hello all,

Been very busy lately, much like I have gone off to the wonderflorious world of university. Since then I've been packing my head full of just about every notable historical text from the pre-socratic philosophers to Machiavelli. Fun stuff. Actually I do think its fun, but still, there is some level of lamentation in that statement, as the books do tend to go on somewhat.

In other news, ive been busy working on a project. One that has good chances (i hope, not entirely sure) of getting published, god willing that is. Apparently im rather good with epic poetry, and i mean epic in the traditional sense, not as in EPIC WIN, altho i do hope there is EPIC WIN in my poetry as well. It's odd, i dont like poetry much, at least not writing it, but I'm rather enjoying this.

Tis a "modern companion to the Divine Comedy, by Dante Alighieri" or at least thats what im going with. Essentially it's the divine comedy, taking place in modern day, with no shortage of political, philosophical, and theological discussion and symbolism rampant throughout. It's grim, dark, and ever so visceral, at least so I've been told. personally i think it's mildly amusing stuff, but ive had some of my harshest critics say it's amazing, when most of the time my best work ammounts to "well that was alright, i guess". In case you havent noticed im trying really hard not to toot my own horn, and failing really badly. Im proud of this one, even though im only 10 canto's into it, with at least 18 more to go in Inferno alone. I've always loved the Comedy, it's an incredible tale really, and full of ideas i just love. Suffice it to say the current Inferno craze is killing me, what with the video game, anime movie, and rumors of a live action movie going round, all of them horrible butcherings of the Comedy. I mean, come on, Dante as a Templar? Beatrice dragged into Hell? Dante with a scythe? come on man, that just makes no sense... i mean really....

But in any case, that's life thus far. University, philosophy, and backbreaking projects that are far too massive for an 18 year old kid to tackle as a "for fun" project lol.
